Mission Statement & History

“The mission of Christ the King Altar Society is to serve the needs of Christ the King Catholic Church and its parishioners. Activities that serve the mission of the Altar Society include the spiritual advancement of its members, the promotion of fellowship within the church community, the care and upkeep of Christ the King Catholic Church, and the practice of spiritual and charitable works of mercy.”

The Christ the King Altar Society was formed when Christ the King Catholic Church was established in 1941.  For over 80 years, the women of the Altar Society have had the privilege of caring for the sanctuary and the sacristy, keeping beautiful our Lord’s dwelling place. The Altar Society has also strived to meet the needs of the Christ the King community participating in many parish activities as well as reaching out to the entire Dallas community through the many outreach programs sponsored by Christ the King Catholic Church.

The women of the Altar Society meet monthly for fellowship and inspirational programs as well as organize social functions for all members. The women also join with parish organizations including the Parents’ Association, and St. Anne’s Society by sponsoring events that promote community fellowship within our parish.
